Vocab VI

Subjectivity: Proceeding from or taking place in a person's mind rather than the external world

Epistemology: The branch of philosophy that studies the nature of knowledge, its presuppositions and foundations, and its extent and validity.

First, we will be concerned in what follows only with the epistemology of memory beliefs.

Mollify: To calm in temper or feeling; soothe
They all wanted it back, and were only slightly mollified by my assurances that it would return for Easter!

Abrogate: To abolish, do away with, or annul, especially by authority
We cannot, nor should not, abrogate that responsibility.

Reconcile: To reestablish a close relationship between, or to settle or resolve

To reconcile these differences they may need to think creatively to find a solution.
